When it comes to hosting a cozy, chic Beanies & Martinis night, the vibe starts with the decor—and I’m diving headfirst into wintery elegance. My go-to palette? Forest greens, warm browns, buffalo plaid, and soft white furs. It’s equal parts Swiss chalet and cozy New England charm. Think flocked trees, pine garland, and even repurposed old skis for a little après ski flair.
Of course, no vibe is complete without an invitation that sets the stage. To make it easy for you, I’ve created a customizable invitation template that you can purchase [here]. With this Canva template, you’ll also get step-by-step instructions for your guests on how to navigate the DIY Beanie Bar (because who doesn’t love clear instructions?) and care tips for their freshly customized beanies—you know, in case they want to wear them all season long. I like to send the invitation digitally via text to my friends (quick and easy!), but I also print out a copy for each guest as a cute, take-home keepsake.
Decor
I’m all about using what I already have, so I’m repurposing a lot of leftover Christmas decor: flocked trees, pine garland, and even some old skis. Add in a cozy backdrop to tie it all together!
Speaking of backdrops, I swear by my Amazon backdrop stand. It’s a great investment piece for any event, and while there are lots of cover options, I've managed to stick to white—it’s so easy to customize with text, balloons, or accessories. For this party, I’m using my Cricut to create a snarky adhesive vinyl design for the backdrop. If you don’t have a Cricut, no worries—I’ve included a print-and-cut banner below!
If you’re looking for a finishing touch for your decor, stay tuned for my next blog post, where I’ll show you how to turn leftover yarn into an adorable garland to round out your Beanies & Martinis theme!
